Fuerte Bulnes (Fort Bulnes) is a Chilean fort located by the Strait of Magellan, 62 km south of Punta Arenas.
It was built by felling native trees with axes under the guidance of the Prussian Bernardo Phillipi. On October 30th 1843, the fort was officially inaugurated and named Fuerte Bulnes after the President of the time.
